Adam Golub (born on 12.06.1925 in Dnepropetrovsk) and Georgij Lebedenko (born 06.10.1923 in Kyiv) were prisoners of Katzbach concentration camp.

 

They tried to escape from the camp on 14.03.1945, but were caught and killed by Nazi near Lahnstraße / Kriegkstraße streetcross.

 

German writer Hans Frick published his memories about this murder in 1966.

 

The square was named after victims on 14.03.1998.
